Returns Management

So returned check can appear days after original presentment, have to be processed and decisioned by an individual and re-presented, sent to collection or just abandoned. In the case of Check cashing, guarantee partners and clients want immediate feedback and access to returns management to limit the potential for recurring fraud and achieve higher collection percentages by having immediate electronic notification of returned items. Once CPI has interfaced to a clients primary bank for settlement, a returns file can be electronically fed to CPI on a daily basis so item decisioning by all parties is as efficient as possible. This service is written into both Clear Payments API platforms and operates transparent within the same reporting module of the system.
